Keeping Up With Our Young Leaders!

In the heart of our community, our young leaders has been making waves with their passion, dedication, and commitment to creating positive change. Over the past year, their collaborative efforts have led to a series of impactful projects that not only showcase their talents but also reflect a genuine desire to better the community we call home.
Diverse Projects, Shared Commitment
From “Moments of Migration” to organising care packages for the homeless, engaging in sports sessions, and curating an art exhibition focusing on environmental pollution, our young volunteers have proven that age is no barrier to making a difference. Their enthusiasm and creativity have brought about a refreshing approach to community service.
Faces Behind the Projects
Let’s meet some of these young leaders who are the driving force behind these initiatives:
1. Ausar-Re:
Involved in an art project, sports management, and public speaking, Ausar-Re is a multifaceted young leader. From addressing the importance of Windrush to interviewing the elderly, he has been an instrumental part of our community events.
2. Zion + Elijah:
These dynamic individuals contribute significantly during sporting events, including the setup and takedown of football tournaments. Their commitment to community bonding shines through in their active involvement.
3. Kiya:
From contributing to art projects and initiatives like “Windrush” to organising care packages for the homeless, Kiya’s dedication is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact. As she rightly puts it, “I like to help the homeless; I feel like I’m doing a good deed.”
The Glue: WhatsApp Group Communication
To ensure seamless communication, our young leaders use a WhatsApp group. This platform not only facilitates easy communication but also serves as a space to share photos, achievements, and mutual support.
Reflections on Leadership
For these young leaders, leading their own projects brings a sense of pride and accomplishment. One young leader said “leading your own projects makes you feel proud of yourself, to better your community.”
This empowerment is not just about doing good but about learning, growing, and leaving a lasting positive impact.
Community Benefits and Future Aspirations
The community has reaped the benefits of these young leaders’ endeavors, from educational projects to summer events that raise awareness about knife crime. Looking ahead, our young leaders express a keen interest in more charity work, acting, self-defense, and performance-based initiatives. Their vision for the future is as diverse as their talents.
Support and Celebrate our Young Leaders
As we reflect on the incredible achievements of our young volunteers, let’s extend our support and celebrate their dedication to community service. These young leaders are not just the future; they are the present, shaping our community for the better.
In the spirit of unity and progress, let’s continue to keep up with our young volunteers, encouraging them to dream big, act boldly, and inspire change. Together, we can create a community where the passion of our young people transforms into a legacy of positive impact.
