Job Description
- Job Title: Project Coordinator
- Reports to: CEO and Directors
- Contract: 12-month freelance / flexible contract
- Hours: 18 hours per week, flexible across 2–3 days
- Rate: £16–£18/hour, depending on experience
- Base: Legacy Centre of Excellence (with some hybrid/remote working)
Role Purpose
To coordinate delivery of ACT CIC’s Social Impact Accelerator (SIA) Programme — a business accelerator supporting non-profits, social enterprises, and community interest companies — as well as supporting wider ACT CIC projects.
- This includes:
- Managing delivery milestones
- Reporting and stakeholder relationships
- Budgets and project administration
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management:
- Oversee the third-year delivery of the
- SIA Programme Coordinate with
- facilitators, mentors, and guest experts
- Monitor progress against milestones and outcomes
- Manage budgets and financial tracking
- Liaise with stakeholders, partners, and funders
- Organise and manage workshops, networking sessions, and events
Project Coordination:
- Plan, schedule, and monitor activities
- Act as central contact for participants and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data, and reporting standards
- Maintain monthly data and reporting spreadsheets
Team Collaboration:
- Support freelance facilitators, mentors, and delivery partners
- Facilitate team meetings, capture actions, and follow up
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain programme metrics and outcomes
- Submit monthly data and quarterly reports U
- Update senior staff, directors, and stakeholders
Administrative Support:
- Support diary and organisational admin
- Assist CEO and directors with coordination tasks
Person Specification
- Essential
- Project/programme coordination experience (third sector, social enterprise, or non-profit)
- Strong organisational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- IT confidence (Excel/Google Sheets, Eventbrite, Zoom, project tools)
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear communication (written & verbal)
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete)
- Desirable
- Knowledge of social enterprise/third sector
- Experience with accelerator or business support programmes
- Experience in risk assessment and reporting
- Experience managing freelance staff, mentors, or facilitators
- Interest in events, networking, or entrepreneurship
